FAQ

What is a trial and how does it work?

Your trial should be scheduled around 12 weeks before your wedding. By this time, most of the details of your wedding will be finalized. You will have your veil, dress, wedding colors, jewelry, and other accessories. With this timing, you will be less likely to change your mind about the look between the trial and your wedding. We ask you to come with a clean, makeup free, and moisturized face. We also ask you a few days ahead of time to email us some inspiration photos of hair and makeup you like best. This helps us have an idea of what you would like done and saves time during your consultation.

Scheduling a trial close to your wedding date helps us analyze your needs. Skin is usually dryer in the winter and more oily in the summer. It helps us to determine what products to use. We can also tell you if we need you to do anything with your hair. Sometimes we suggest to purchase clip in extensions for more body and or length, we may ask you to grow out or get some of your front pieces cut depending on the style you are choosing, and any other smaller details to make your style even prettier.

Ideally we would love to get your trial done the day you have a dress fitting. Another great time to schedule your trial is for your bridal shower or engagement photos. It helps you see how your hair and makeup look in photos and if there are any adjustments or changes you would want. We can not always guarantee we will have availability on those days but we try to accommodate the best we can!

How do I schedule a trial?

You just call or email us to set up your trial. Your trial will either be held in Media, Pa or Brookhaven, Pa. Trials are held Monday-Thursday and occasional weekend days when it’s not wedding season.

What is the difference between airbrush and traditional?

One is not inherently always better then the other, but situational. With traditional, you’re looking to apply coverage to one area and blend until it’s seamless. Airbrush is a different application for foundation. Our artist's use Temptu airbrush. The formula is water and sweat resistant and it lasts up to 16 hours.  Our artists build layers to achieve the coverage you are looking for. Sometimes brides want more of a light softer finish or they want a full coverage look. It really just depends.

How do I secure and book my date?-

You would start by filling out our contact form. You can also email us with all of the information you have to make the process go quicker. We would then set up a welcome call to go over any questions or concerns you may have. After the call, we email you with a recap and any remaining questions we would need for your contract. We recommend booking around 12 months in advance or as soon as you can!

A signed contract and 30% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your date. To make the process faster and less stressful, please fill out our contact form.

How long does hair and makeup take?

Since everybody’s skin and hair type/length is different, we don’t have exact timing. The bride usually take 45 minutes for hair and 40-60 for makeup. Attendants are usually around 30 minutes for hair and around 30-40 for makeup.

Is there anything I need to do to be ready for services on the day of?

Please make sure everybody’s faces are cleaned and exfoliated, mascara and makeup free, and everybody is hydrated. We ask that each attendant has 3 inspiration photos of makeup and 3 inspiration photos of the hairstyle they would like. If you are getting ready at a hotel please call up a barstool chair per makeup artist the morning of. Prepare open spaces with empty tables for set up. The makeup artist’s love to work closet to the window so they can use the natural light.
